Belnaboth East is situated in Glenbuchat in the Upper Donside area of Aberdeenshire, and within the Cairngorm National Park.

From the south, you have a choice of routes:

The shortest, quickest, and by far the most scenic route is the A93 from Perth to Braemar via Blairgowrie and Glenshee ski centre. From Braemar, continue on the A93 towards Ballater, but just before Balmoral Castle and Crathie Kirk, turn left onto the B976 to Tomintoul. This is a very twisty, undulating, single track road but full of wonderful changing scenery, dependent on the weather! Join the A939 at Gairnshiel and drive along another scenic route till you cross the River Don at Corgarff where you take the A944 towards Strathdon and Bellabeg. The turn-off for Glenbuchat is a mile further on just past the Colquhonnie Hotel.

It is also possible to come via the A9 from Perth, turning off to Grantown-on-Spey, taking the A939 to Tomintoul, and Corgarff, then the A944 to Strathdon as above.

You can also approach the cottage by driving up the east coast via the A90 towards Aberdeen. This way, you have a choice of roads cutting west across the hills:

-  the scenic route from Edzell to Fettercairn over the Cairn o’ Mount to join the A93 at Aboyne, before taking the A97 at Dinnet, and joining the A944  at Strathdon.

- or via the Slug Road at Stonehaven  (A957) to join the A93 at Crathes, on to Banchory and the A980 to Alford, from where you follow the A944 and A97 to Strathdon.

- or via Aberdeen where you can take the A944 or A93 west to Strathdon.

Detailed directions to the cottage, plus GPS co-ordinates will be sent with the final confirmation letter.
